Future Epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' Poised to Claim 2024's First Blockbuster, Surpasses Rs 625 Crore Worldwide

Just recently, since its release, the sci-fi dystopian movie "Kalki 2898 AD" has been creating box office waves. The star-studded cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone came together in the movie, which grossed viral headlines. According to film trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the worldwide box office collections have shot up manifold to close on approximately Rs 625 crore by Monday.

While the opening fervour holds, the attendance for the night shows has marginally dropped in all the main areas including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. The fifth day registered an audience of 55.43 per cent for 3D night shows in Telugu states, 28.14 per cent at the Tamil circuits, and 47.28 per cent in Hindi cinemas.

"Kalki 2898 AD" has revived the box office after a six-month hiatus and is expected to reach Rs 800 crore, possibly becoming the first blockbuster hit this year.
