Amitabh Bachchan's Memorable Sunday: Watching 'Kalki 2898 AD' on the Big Screen for the First Time

It was a great Sunday for megastar Amitabh Bachchan. His day started with the meeting of "well-wishers" at his residence's gate, followed by a visit to the cinema to watch his latest release 'Kalki: 2898 AD' on the big screen.

Sharing his experience on his blog, Amitabh expressed, "A Sunday of Sundays. the well wishers at GOJ and then to Kalki with some friends to see on big screen. seeing film for first time."

He further commented on the elegance, aesthetics, and general ambiance of the theater, much about the IMAX experience. He said, "And the experience of an IMAX, and the facilities and environ at the theatre. so impressive, the elegance, aesthetics in the facility. had not been out for years. but so satisfying to be out to witness all the progress.".

The 81-year-old actor is playing the role of Ashwatthama, one of the prime characters from the epic Mahabharata in the Nag Ashwin-directed film released on June 27. Set up in the post-apocalyptic world of 2898 AD, it engulfs the film with an emphasis on its great action sequences. Other stellar performances include Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.

Amitabh also shared glimpses of hoardings featuring himself and his actor-son Abhishek Bachchan for an advertisement they recently collaborated on, as a part of his regular blog updates. Sharing the experience of 'fooling around' in a shoot with his son, he said, "Gatsby. and son fooling around. and the IDFC bank ad., that Abhishek and I did .so much to say.
