Filmfare Awards Honor Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with Best Actor Trophies

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film, "", secured the coveted Black Lady for both the best film and best director categories. Alia Bhatt's co-star, Shabana Azmi, won the Best Supporting Actress award for "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," while Ranbir Kapoor claimed the Best Actor trophy.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt emerged as the top winners at the 69th Filmfare Awards, receiving accolades for their outstanding performances in "Animal" and "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani." The prestigious event, presented in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, took place at GIFT City, Gujarat, concluding with a star-studded awards ceremony hosted by Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Maneish Paul.

Despite his notable performances in "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki," Shah Rukh Khan was absent from the winners' list, but "Jawan" clinched the Filmfare for Best VFX and Action. Vicky Kaushal, also nominated for Best Actor, secured the Best Supporting Actor award for "Dunki."

"Animal," a controversial yet successful film, not only earned Ranbir Kapoor the Best Actor award but also triumphed in categories like Best Music Album, Background Score, and Best Playback Singer (Bhupinder Babbal for "Arjan Valley"). Vikrant Massey, star of "12th Fail," received the Best Actor (Critics) Filmfare, and the film also won in the Screenplay and Editing categories.

The Best Actress (Critics) trophy was shared by Rani Mukerji ("Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway") and Shefali Shah ("Three of Us"). Avinash Arun Dhaware, director of "Three of Us," secured the trophy for Best Cinematography.

"Joram," starring Manoj Bajpayee, won the Best Film (Critics) award and also received recognition for Best Story (Amit Rai and Devashish Makhija). Amitabh Bhattacharya's "Tere Vaaste" from "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" was honored with the Best Lyrics award, while Shilpa Rao won Best Female Playback Singer for "Besharam Rang" from "Pathaan."

"Sam Bahadur," featuring Vicky Kaushal, was recognized with Filmfare awards for Best Production Design and Costume Design. Tarun Dudeja received the Best Debut Director award for "Dhak Dhak," and Aditya Rawal was honored as the Best Debut Actor Male for Hansal Mehta's "Faraaz." Alizeh Agnihotri took home the trophy for Best Female Debut for "Farrey."

The awards night celebrated the achievements of the industry, with notable personalities like Kareena Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Karishma Tanna, and Kartik Aryan in attendance. Additionally, the event featured captivating performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor, adding glamour and entertainment to the gala. Renowned filmmaker David Dhawan received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
