Enrique Iglesias, the renowned singer behind hits like 'Hero,' is poised to bid adieu to the era of new album releases after his forthcoming LP, "Final (Vol 2)," hits shelves in February 2024.
With anticipation building for the release of his upcoming album, Enrique reaffirmed his longstanding commitment that this collection marks his final curtain call in terms of traditional album releases. "I've devoted years to crafting this album, and it's always been my definitive project... this is where it ends. I'm certain—no, I'm resolute—that there won't be any more albums," he expressed to 'Today,' as reported by aceshowbiz.com.
The singer confirmed the completion of the record, primed for its February debut, yet expressed a desire to shoot a couple of music videos ahead of the second leg of his tour before the album's launch. "It's all set. It's slated for release in February. Everything's in place. I intend to film a video or two just before the tour's next phase and roll it out."
This decision to culminate his albums with this upcoming collection isn't a sudden revelation. As far back as 2021, Enrique hinted at the possibility during an Instagram conversation, mentioning that "it might be my final album."
"This hasn't been a recent consideration; it's been brewing in my mind for years. There will be Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but they signify the end," he emphasized. "I find myself at a juncture in life where it feels right to unveil this project. I've been contemplating this since 2015," he added.
Despite bidding adieu to albums, Enrique stressed that his passion for creating music remains undiminished. He elucidated, "I'll never cease writing songs because it's my passion. However, I'll explore a different avenue—no longer must they conform to the album format. This project holds immense significance for me."
