Actress Kristen Stewart reportedly surprised fans by attending her former co-star Robert Pattinson's 37th birthday party. The two actors, who co-starred in the "Twilight" series, had a romantic relationship from 2009 to 2013, marked by a publicized breakup due to Kristen's involvement in a cheating scandal.
Director Catherine Hardwick, who directed the first "Twilight" film, shared the unexpected reunion during an episode of the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast. Catherine mentioned attending Robert's recent birthday party with actress Toni Collette, only to be joined by Kristen Stewart.
She explained, "Strangely enough, I went to Rob's birthday party recently. I kinda crashed with my friend Toni Collette, who had just done a movie with him. We had a fun thing, and then Kristen crashed it too. That was just a few months ago, and it was just like, 'Oh my god!' We all hugged each other - like, this is so crazy and cool."
According to Catherine, Kristen approached Robert's home and rang the bell to inquire if it was okay for her to join the celebration. Robert, described by Catherine as a "lovely person," apparently welcomed his ex-girlfriend inside without hesitation.
"When Kristen walked into Rob's birthday, she's like, 'Catherine? Rob's birthday? What's going on?' I go, 'I kinda crashed it with Toni.' And she goes, 'Well, I crashed it too,'" Catherine shared.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's relationship gained widespread attention when Kristen was caught kissing her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, in 2012. Despite the publicized breakup that followed, they briefly reconciled before officially parting ways in 2013. Kristen Stewart has since come out as bisexual.
