Actress Emily Blunt has now talked about having chemistry or not with onscreen actors. According to her, while all that sounds like all fun and games on the screen, it cannot always be the case in real life. She has said that she felt queasy after locking lips with some co-actors, despite all the chemistry.
"I've had chemistry with people I haven't liked," Blunt says, moving swiftly to dismiss questions that might lead her to reveal the names in question. "I'm not gonna tell you," she said, keeping her lips firmly sealed.
"Sometimes it's a strange thing," Blunt said about the mystery of chemistry. "Sometimes you could have a rapport that's really effortless, but it doesn't translate onscreen." She said that chemistry could not be created or forced.
She also shared her ways of making chemistry happen when it fails to. "I've got to find something I love about everybody," she said, "even if it's one thing." Whether it's a charming laugh, a courteous demeanor, Blunt makes sure to find a positive attribute to bond over on set.
In a candid moment, she revealed that she is not usually a fan of the kissing scene, saying, "Absolutely. Absolutely." Although she declined to label it as extreme dislike, she admitted that sometimes it was unpleasant.
Despite the occasional hassle, Blunt is a consummate professional, having worked with everybody from Dwayne Johnson to her husband, John Krasinski, and also Cillian Murphy. Her revelations are something of an insight into the life of chemistry on the screen and the art of living a cinematic life.
