Ed Sheeran's second single, called Azizam, will be drawn from his wife Cherry Seaborn. "Azizam" is the Persian term of endearment for "my dear" or "my beloved," and the name signifies Ed's love for Cherry.
He has just shot the music video for the song in South London, starring comedian Omid Djalili and a decadent wedding scene.
The artist said that Ed is thrilled for the world to listen to the song, which speaks of his affection for Cherry and the two of them. The video is also said to have a large budget backing it, hence being a big production.
Although the release date for Azizam remains to be announced, there's rumor that it might be a "summer smash hit." The news comes after Ed's lovely Valentine's Day dedication to Cherry, where he posted a picture of her with the caption "Azizam."
Furthermore, Ed previewed his new album, *Play*, to be released after his 2023 album, Autumn Variations. Although his last few albums included mathematical signs in their titles, Ed assured fans that Play would indeed be his next studio album, and the implication was that he's poised to press "play" on a new music chapter.
Ed also humored that he never graduated high school, and although he may not be an expert in mathematics, he is certainly toying with the prospect of venturing into new subject matters with his future work. The fans await the release of Azizam and Play, promising new highlights in the singer's career.
