Rapper Killer Mike, who secured three Grammy wins during the pre-televised portion of the ceremony, was reportedly handcuffed and escorted out of the Grammy Awards by police. Chris Gardner of The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news and shared videos on X (formerly Twitter) showing the rapper being taken away in handcuffs by several police officers.
According to Forbes, the exact charges against Killer Mike were not immediately clear, as Gardner was unable to learn the details. An unnamed official mentioned that it was a misdemeanor and clarified that the arrest had "nothing to do with anything that happened today here inside the arena."
Killer Mike won in all three categories he was nominated for during the pre-show ceremony, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his track "Scientists and Angels" and Best Rap Album for "Michael," his sixth studio album released in June 2023. The circumstances surrounding the rapper's arrest at the Grammy Awards remain unclear.
