Farhan Akhtar has finally ended speculation about Don 3, assuring fans that the movie is on track as scheduled. The director, who is directing the highly anticipated sequel, brushed aside recent rumors of a delay, affirming that production will begin as scheduled.
In a conversation with India Today, Akhtar spoke about the reports of delay and explained, "I am not avoiding any questions. Don 3 is beginning this year, and 120 Bahadur will release towards the end of the year."
The movie features Ranveer Singh in the iconic role, with Kiara Advani playing the heroine.
When questioned on the progress of Jee Le Zaraa—a film that was made official with Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif—Farhan conceded that scheduling issues are an issue. "Several dates need to be worked out. That's maybe for another day," he replied.
At the same time, Farhan's production effort Superboys of Malegaon is readying for a theatrical release on February 28. Written by Varun Grover and directed by Reema Kagti, the film is produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby with producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti. The movie stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan in key roles.
