Director Faruk Kabir Reveals Heartbreaking Situation: 'My Wife Ran Away with Our Baby

The issue arose when Faruk's wife insisted on obtaining Uzbek nationality for their newborn, despite Faruk being an Indian national and the baby being born in India—making her eligible for Indian nationality.

Filmmaker Faruk Kabir, who tied the knot in Uzbekistan last year, recently faced a distressing situation as his wife allegedly ran away with their newborn daughter. The couple had been residing in India for the past year, and everything seemed perfect until a few hours after the delivery of their daughter.

The issue arose when Faruk's wife insisted on obtaining Uzbek nationality for their newborn, despite Faruk being an Indian national and the baby being born in India—making her eligible for Indian nationality. The disagreement escalated to the point where the wife threatened suicide if her wishes were not fulfilled, citing concerns about the protection of Muslims in India.

In the weeks leading up to the delivery, Faruk's wife had invited her parents, and together, they allegedly teamed up against the director. On December 20, she and her parents reportedly ran away with their few days old baby.

Faruk Kabir has officially filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police regarding the incident. In a statement, he expressed his distress, saying, "They have run away with my baby." The filmmaker's ordeal highlights the complexities surrounding issues of nationality and personal beliefs, which can sometimes strain relationships and lead to unfortunate situations.
