Based on the 2012 Delhi gangrape-murder case, Netflix series, Delhi Crime has won the International Emmy in 'Best Drama Series' category. This is the first ever win for India at the Emmys.
The seven-episode series directed by Richie Mehta follows the investigation by Delhi Police into the brutal gang-rape and murder case. Shefali Shah was much praised for the lead role of Vartika Chaturvedi in the series alongside Rasika Duggal, Adil Hussain, Yashaswini Dayama, Vinod Sherawat and Gopal Dutt.
