Deepika Padukone Discharged After 9 Days, Leaves Hospital Through Backdoor

New mommy Deepika Padukone, who has welcomed a baby girl with actor-husband Ranveer Singh, has been discharged from the hospital after completing all formalities.

Videos of the actress leaving the premises of the H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in the Girgaon area of Mumbai on Sunday have appeared on the Internet. The couple manages to slip out from the back gate of the hospital, avoiding the curious cameras of the media. However, a few videos still managed to flash a small glimpse of the newborn as Deepika and her husband Ranveer roll out of the hospital gates in a fleet of Mercedes-Maybachs.

Earlier when she was still in the hospital, she had a welcome visitor - Bollywood legend and close friend Shah Rukh Khan, who came to meet her newborn.

Deepika and Ranveer Singh became proud parents to a baby girl on September 8 on the first day of Ganeshotsav. They visited Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai on Friday with their families before the delivery of the actress. All of them have miraculously timed the delivery, welcoming the baby on the auspicious day.

They announced the news of her pregnancy through Instagram in February 2024. The caption read: "September 2024". Over cute motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes, and balloons.

Recently, Deepika and Ranveer put to rest all the incessant gossips and trollers on her pregnancy by posting the gorgeous maternity shoot. Trolling and shaming her on social media had been going on for months - even with some people labeling her baby bump as fake while others were saying it keeps changing shape.

Deepika and Ranveer got married in the month of November last year in a very private and intimate ceremony in Lake Como.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer and Deepika are together for an upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial 'Singham Again'. Deepika is a new entrant into Shetty's cop universe whereas Ranveer can be seen in a cameo avatar as Simmba.
