Chrissy Teigen, the wife of Grammy-winning musician John Legend, demonstrated her lighthearted attitude by laughing off a wardrobe malfunction at the 2023 Baby2Baby Gala, as reported by People magazine.
Teigen shared several photos from the event on her Instagram Story, held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California. One of the pictures captured her back, revealing a wardrobe malfunction that seemed to be a zipper mishap. Despite the glitch, Teigen approached the situation with humor, highlighting her ability to not take herself too seriously.
“Oh lol,” Teigen captioned the shot, in which she bent over to show the extent of the dress disaster.
Earlier in the evening, Chrissy Teigen, the author of "Cravings," graced the red carpet at the Baby2Baby Gala in her yet-to-be-broken dress. She wore a striking black gown with a high-knee slit and a dazzling 3D flower decal that extended from the slit to the opposite shoulder.
According to People, Teigen complemented the intricate dress with elegant black heels, a straightforward gold clutch, and a radiant, bronzed makeup look, showcasing a glamorous and polished appearance for the gala. Despite the later wardrobe malfunction, her initial red carpet ensemble captured attention for its stylish and sophisticated design.
Teigen shared more behind-the-scenes photos from the annual event, which raised money for the charity, which “provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves,” as per its website.
In one picture, the mom of four applauded Salma Hayek Pinault, who was honoured with the Giving Tree award. “Holy moly the beauty, the icon!!” Teigen wrote alongside a photo of the actress, 57, addressing the crowd.
The 'Frida' star, Salma Hayek, radiated elegance in a halter-neck sequined gown at the gala, attending alongside her husband, Francois-Henri Pinault. Prior to stepping on stage to accept her award, she was introduced by her 'Magic Mike: The Last Dance' co-star, Channing Tatum.
Chrissy Teigen, who was also present at the event, shared a snapshot of Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, and Kim Kardashian on stage. Kim Kardashian was honored with the Giving Tree award the previous year. Teigen expressed her admiration for these women through emojis, using a heart and a smiling-crying face to convey her sentiments. The gala brought together prominent figures in the industry, celebrating their contributions and achievements.
