After a long break, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is returning to the work after giving birth to her second child, but even before the work could begin, she got entangled in another controversy, and this time the actress has to face netizens’ anger with #BoycottKareenaKapoorkhan trending on social media.
Recently, it was reported that Kareena was approached to play the role of Sita in the mythological saga titled "Sita: The Incarnation" helmed by Alaukik Desai and penned by K. Vijayendra Prasad, the writer who holds credit for the Bahuballi franchise. The actress reportedly demanded a whopping Rs 12 crores to play the role of Sita and that irked the netizens immensely.
As soon as this news broke out, the people took to their social media handles to share their views. As per Netizens, the demand for such a high fee by the actress for portraying the character of Sita has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community and in no time #BoycottKareenaKapoorKhan started trending on social media.

While some argued that instead of Kareena, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut or Yami Gautam should be approached to play the role, some said if she is playing Sita, ask her to change the name of her son. Some users even dragged Saif Ali Khan’s name in this and said that he had hurt religious sentiments with Tandav.
Even though the writer of the movie has clarified that the reports of Kareena Kapoor Khan playing the role of Sita are untrue, the rage among the netizens has not calmed down. While the cast for Sita's role is yet to be finalized, the makers revealed that the mythological drama will star Mahesh Babu in the role of Rama and Hrithik Roshan is likely to play the character of Ravana. The movie will be released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
