"Mr & Mrs Mahi", starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in global box office collections, the makers said on Saturday.
Directed by Sharan Sharma and jointly produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, this romantic sports drama was released in theatres on May 31st.
The latest box office collections were shared by Dharma Productions on their official social media site. Along with that, a promotional poster was also shared where it has been mentioned that the film has crossed the mark of Rs 50 crore gross worldwide.
"Destiny brought them together, but your love made them achieve big dreams!"- it reads on the banner.
In the film "Mr & Mrs Mahi", Janhvi Kapoor portrayed the role of Mahima, who is a doctor by profession but turns cricketer after her husband Mahendra, played by Rajkummar Rao, discovers his wife's cricketing skills and motivates her incessantly to follow her passion.
Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, and Zarina Wahab also play important roles in the film and bring another layer into the story.
