Bigg Boss contestants Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal addressed what seems to be more than a friendship between them.
Recent shows have teased the intensity of their feelings for one another, although neither has publicly admitted—or even quite realized—their feelings. In a recent promo released on the host channel's social media, Tanya is heard narrating something to Amaal, who looks visibly dejected and upset.
The tale, though appearing to be one of Tanya's imagination, smartly reflected the situation of Amaal in the Bigg Boss house at present. While narrating the story, Tanya's actions and facial expressions appeared to move Amaal, who listened intently and strongly identified with the story. During the September 10 episode, Tanya was also spotted wearing Amaal's favorite aviators, which he never takes off except for sleeping—a pair which he has mentioned carries special memories for him.
Throughout the current season, Amaal has also stood by Tanya against Kunickaa Sadanand, whose personal comments had left Tanya in tears and inconsolable. In a touching dialogue, Tanya explained to Amaal how much it hurt her when someone overstepped the limits of critiquing him, despite being able to tolerate criticism of herself.
In turn, Amaal accepted that Tanya was the only individual in the home who could soothe and regulate him, adding Zeishan Quadri did too to a certain extent.
The friendship between Tanya and Amaal suggests a unique connection, which possibly suggests sparks are flying between them, although both seem to be unaware of it.
