Backlash Against Megan Fox for Comparing Herself To ‘Sex Doll’

In response to the backlash, Fox took to Instagram to address the situation. She attributed her altered appearance in the photos to the lighting conditions at the nightclub where they were taken, following The Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Actress Megan Fox recently fired back at body-shaming trolls who ridiculed her appearance, asserting that she resembled an "expensive sex doll."

The 37-year-old actress found herself the subject of mockery following the circulation of photos showing her enjoying a night out with her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly, alongside Taylor Swift, 34, and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Critics claimed these images were evidence of Fox undergoing plastic surgery, noting that her features seemed more sculpted than usual.

Fox humorously quipped, "Oh my god guys look how different I… dont look at all. turns out it was just a shadowy cell phone pic of me looking like a Ukrainian blow-up doll. When in REALITY I look like one of those super expensive silicone real sex dolls you can only get in Japan."

However, her comparison to a Ukrainian sex doll drew criticism, with some online users condemning it as insensitive, especially given the ongoing conflict involving Russia and Ukraine. Critics labeled Fox's remark as "distasteful" and questioned her choice of words, suggesting she missed an opportunity to make a more positive statement about the iconic photograph.

This isn't the first time Fox has spoken candidly about her body image struggles. In a 2023 interview with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, she revealed her battle with body dysmorphia, admitting, "I have body dysmorphia. I don't ever see myself the way other people see me. There is never a point in my life where I loved my body, ever ever."

Fox highlighted her lifelong "awareness" and "obsession" with her image, shedding light on the pressures faced by individuals in the spotlight.
