Actress Ankita Lokhande has landed a leading role in an upcoming series centered around the life of the royal courtesan Amrapali, to be helmed by filmmaker Sandeep Singh, renowned for his production of 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'.

The narrative, as detailed in a recent announcement, aims to delve into the intriguing journey of the famed dancer hailing from the Republic of Vaishali during ancient India. Ankita will step into the shoes of Amrapali, the revered nagarvadhu.
