Ananya Panday reminisces about her early days, when she was still a lady in the film industry, that she has become much louder about what she believes in.
"I've become a lot more vocal about what I stand for. What keeps me going is seeing change; knowing that speaking up or even through cinema you can actually make an impact."
Even if one young girl comes up to me and says I am myself because you are yourself and I feel comfortable in my skin, for me that's where I have done my job. Seeing changes is a huge reason why I keep going, she shared Ananya.
Ananya, who made her debut with "Student of the Year 2" in 2019 and whose recent release is "Call Me Bae," was talking at Prime Video's "Maitri: Female First Collective. "
She spoke about the enabling ecosystem she is building for peers. She shared her views on female friendships that make the world of glitz and glamour whole.
As she added: "They keep pitting women against each other, actresses against actresses, but with Sara (Ali Khan) and Janhavi (Kapoor) it's not a very conscious attempt, we constantly try to be there for each other and support each other very publicly, so that we are showing people this is how female friendships are supposed to be like, don't believe any other way."
In 2022, "Maitri: Female First Collective" was launched with an intention to establish a safe and friendly media and entertainment space for women.
Ananya will next be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's thriller "CTRL".
The actress will play a role of content creator in the next streaming thriller.
