Amitabh Bachchan Praises 'Kalki 2898 AD' for Its Epic Fusion of Myth and Reality

The legendary 81-year-old actor has been receiving much accolade for his role as the immortal warrior Ashwathhama in the magnum opus of sci-fi theatrical release on 27th June, which has now crossed the 700-crore mark.

Mega star Amitabh Bachan took the appreciation to thank his followers for immense love and support showered on the film "Kalki 2898 AD" And added his appreciation for hailing the far vision of director Nag Ashwin in visualizing an ancient Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, for the modern ages.

"The essence of KALKI truly has touched me deeply. I am grateful," Bachchan said in a heartfelt message on X.

The actor wrote a detailed entry on his blog in which he revealed that he has visited the film "Kalki 2898 AD" for the 3rd time recently and was too thrilled. He went on to ponder over the painstaking efforts of the director in bringing this radical idea into action—recreating the classic epic of Mahabharata into a spectacle of contemporary times, one that strikes a chord with people today.

"The film is not only a visual spectacle but also a profound learning experience, merging myth with reality", said Bachchan on the film makers's deft interpretation of the epic which has in excess of 1.40 lakh verses.

He said that the film goes behind the epic battle of Kurukshetra to explore life, so stay tuned to its sequel and interviews that will talk more about this film.

The film "Kalki 2898 AD" was created on a very huge budget, having as costars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and other luminaries, and has been released in multiple languages, further giving it reach and impact.
