Amitabh Bachchan recently raised eyebrows among fans with his enigmatic tweet, "Time to go," fueling rumors of whether he was suggesting retirement from movies or his hosting on Kaun Banega Crorepati.
But the rumors were dispelled in a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Big B made light of the rumors in a promo released by the makers. He was spotted answering a contestant's playful question asking him to dance. In his characteristic humor, he joked, "Kaun nachega? Arre bhai sahab, naachne ke liye yahan nahi rakha hai humko."
The discussion then moved to his enigmatic tweet when one of the audience members questioned its meaning. Smiling, Bachchan answered, "There was a line that said, 'It's time to go.' so what's wrong with that?
"Another fan pursued further, inquiring, "Where are you going?
"to which the screen legend responded in a jolly vein, "It means it's time to go…" But before he had a chance to complete, the crowd cut him short, chanting, "Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte!
" (You can't leave from here!) Silencing all speculations, Amitabh clarified, "Arre bhai sahab, it's time for me to go to work! And when we finish at 2 AM, by the time I reach home, it's already late. I was writing, got so sleepy, and just dozed off after writing 'Time to go.'" The 82-year-old actor had also written a blog post discussing “saturation” and “the spread of information”, which further fueled speculation. However, his tweet was simply a reference to wrapping up his work for the night. undefinedFor now, fans can breathe easy—Amitabh Bachchan isn’t going anywhere!
