Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has just made a statement that he has gone back into work mode after a break.
In his blog, Amitabh has written that he is now completely engaged in his professional work. "On the work front again… was a pause before the action… but now again on the front. and more,".
His recent acting assignment was the 2024 action drama "Vettaiyan," directed by T. J. Gnanavel. The film features Rajinikanth as Athiyan, an experienced policeman who, during the investigation of the murder of a teacher, shoots an innocent passerby accidentally in an encounter. The film is also joined by Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami, and Ramesh Thilak.
Amitabh showed respect for Indian jawans on May 13 by sharing a powerful poem penned by his late father, the illustrious Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The poem emphasizes that what the soldiers do should speak a powerful message to the opposing side without uttering a word.
"Jai Hind Jai Hind Ki Sena," he had captioned the poem.
He shared the original Hindi lines:
"O our vajra-durdam desh ke vikshubdh-krodhaatur jawaano! Kitkitakar aaj apne vajra ke-se dant bheencho, khade ho, aage badho, upar chadho, be-kanth khole. Bolna ho to tumhaare haath ki do choten bolen!"
Amitabh further added, "And the words of Poojya Babuji ring out. loud and clear. and in echo. from every aspect of the Country. from every corner."
Describing the meaning, he wrote:
"Oh! the Country's irate and dedicated Jawans. grit your teeth. rise up and walk forward. up and ahead. silently and without a voice. if you have to speak a word. let the echo resound of your slaps engraved on the face of the enemy!!"
This commemoration comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor — the euphemism for a series of pinpoint and targeted counterstrikes by the Indian armed forces on May 7 against nine terror installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
