"The idea that people labeled my very average-size body as 'curvy' is absurd. It's crazy that we once thought of that as groundbreaking," Ferrera expressed, highlighting the skewed perspectives prevalent in the entertainment world.

America Ferrera, recognized for her breakthrough role in 'Ugly Betty' in 2006, candidly addressed the perception surrounding her body type at the time, challenging the notion that her figure, described as "curvier" in the industry, was groundbreaking. In an interview with ELLE, she reflected on how her average-sized body was categorized as something extraordinary, a concept she found perplexing.

Looking ahead, the 'Barbie' actress expressed her desire for a future where actors aren't confined to stereotypes and are appreciated more for their individuality rather than being boxed into a narrow image imposed by the industry.

"What I aspire to, not just for myself but for women and people of color in their careers, is to break free from these predefined boxes or lanes," Ferrera shared. "We shouldn't be confined to represent what the culture expects us to. I want my career to reflect more of who I am as a person, to create art that defies categorization and doesn't adhere to the dominant narratives imposed on me as a woman diverging from the stereotypical Hollywood image."
