South Indian superstar Allu Arjun shared insights into the expansion plans for his 'Pushpa' franchise, initially launched in 2021.
Addressing the forthcoming release 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' Arjun affirmed, “You can definitely expect a part three; we aim to establish it as a franchise with exciting concepts for future installments.”
A promotional sizzle reel showcasing the 'Pushpa' franchise is being showcased at the Berlin European Film Market, aiming to position it as a global brand. Additionally, a fan screening of 'Pushpa: The Rise — Part 1' is slated, as per Arjun's conversation with Variety.
This marks Arjun's maiden visit to Berlin and his first attendance at a film festival. He expressed his curiosity about international perspectives on Indian cinema and film festival dynamics.
Directed by Sukumar, 'Pushpa' narrates the ascent of Pushpa Raj (played by Arjun), a laborer turned red sandalwood smuggling kingpin, who confronts a formidable police officer.
Following its success in India and key global markets, 'Pushpa: The Rise — Part 1' gained traction upon its streaming release on Prime Video.
Arjun emphasized the significant reach achieved through streaming platforms, noting increased viewer engagement and a diverse audience base.
'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' slated for release on August 15, promises a deeper exploration of Pushpa's character and challenges on a grander scale.
The narrative shift will see Pushpa operating at a national and international level, with expanded conflicts and heightened stakes.
Arjun hinted at future ambitious projects, aiming to maintain the scale and impact established by the 'Pushpa' series.
