Actor Govinda received a bullet injury to his leg, after his licensed revolver accidentally misfired on Tuesday, as per the police report.
The incident took place around 4:45 AM. The actor was preparing to leave his residence in Juhu at the time. A police official stated that the Govinda has not filed a complaint regarding the incident.
The official added that the 60-year-old actor was rushed to a nearby Criticare hospital for treatment and since returned home.
"We had a 6 AM flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened," his manager mentioned.
According to the manager, "the revolver apparently fell down while being kept in the cupboard and misfired. It is due to god's grace that Govinda ji sustained only leg injury and it was nothing serious."
