Actor Dhanush and Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth File for Divorce After Two Years of Separation

This move comes after Dhanush and Aishwarya publicly announced their decision to part ways in January 2022. Dhanush took to social media to share their journey, expressing gratitude for the 18 years spent together as friends, partners, parents, and supporters. Despite the growth and understanding they experienced, they acknowledged that their paths have led them to this point of separation, where they intend to focus on individual self-discovery and growth.

Actor-director Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth have officially initiated divorce proceedings. Recent reports indicate that the couple has filed a joint petition for divorce at a family court in Chennai, citing Section 13B of The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, which deals with divorce by mutual consent.

Having tied the knot in 2004, Dhanush and Aishwarya are parents to two sons, Yatra and Linga. Aishwarya recently returned to the director's chair with "Lal Salaam," featuring her father Rajinikanth in a significant role. Meanwhile, Dhanush has been busy with his acting commitments, with his latest project being "Captain Miller," an action-packed adventure directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.
