The National Testing Agency has once again extended the registration deadline for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2022. The revised date is May 20. Earlier, it was May 15. The application window has now been kept open for 5 more days.
Interested candidates can apply for the medical entrance exam on neet.nta.nic.in .
The deadline has been extended in response to the Director-General of the Armed Forces Medical Services’ request (AFMS).
“In continuation of the Public Notices dated: 01 May 2022 and 05 May 2022, and in view of the request received from the Office of Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, it has been decided to further extend the last date for submission of Application Forms of NEET (UG) – 2022. The FEMALE candidates who want to take admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) Course 2022 at the AFMS Institutions are also required to apply for NEET (UG) – 2022 online through the website neet.nta.nic.in,”NTA said in the notification.
Previously the deadline was extended too, from May 6, 2022 to May 15, 2022. The entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted in around 543 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. It will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Application Fee for the examination varies for candidates belonging to different categories:
For General Category- Rs 1600
For General-EWS/OBC-NCL category is Rs 1500
For SC/ST/PwBD/third gender is Rs 900
Duration of the NEET exam will be 3 hours and 20 minutes. Exam is scheduled to be held in a single shift from 2 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates are required to provide either their email address or their Parents/guardians correct email address, since the NTA will notify via registered e-mail address or SMS of registered Mobile number.
As per the notice, the exam is scheduled to take place in pen and paper mode on July 17. Question paper will have 200 questions.

NEET UG 2022: How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official website- neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom of the page displayed and click on the link that reads ‘Fill Registration Form.
Step 3: Fill the details in the online application form.
Step 4: Upload the required documents.
Step 5: Pay the fee as per the prescribed modes, for submission.
Step 5: Save the form and keep a printout of it for future reference.
