NEET UG 2021 counselling | Here's all you need to know

All candidates who appeared for the NEET examinations and qualified in the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted examinations are eligible for the all India quota medical counseling sessions. The counseling process will be held in online mode in two rounds which will be followed by a mop-up round. 

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2021 will soon commence with the phase 2 registration process and the NTA is likely to release the results soon after. The counselling for the NEET UG 2021 will begin after the declaration of the results and it will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The mop-up round for NEET-UG is conducted after the completion of two counselling rounds for the remaining vacant seats. It is held to fill up the vacancies and students who have been allotted seats in the first two rounds are not eligible to sit for the mop-up round.

NEET All India Quota (AIQ) counselling process includes admission to the below mentioned medical and dental colleges and universities :

- 15% seats at All India Quota MBBS/ BDS Seats of States (except Jammu & Kashmir)
- 100% seats at MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU
- 100% seats at MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India
- 100% seats at JIPMER seats (Puducherry/ Karaikal),
- 100% seats at AMU
- 85% seats of State Quota seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental),
- 100% seats at the Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) along with a 5% internal Quota of Jamia students
- 15% seats at IP quota seats of ESIC.

It is important for candidates to complete the online registration process through the official website to participate in the counselling process. Only students who qualified for the NEET examinations can apply for the counselling process.

Step 3: Proceed with choice filling and locking
