CAT 2021: Registration dates extended till September 22 | Here's how to apply

The examination will be held on November 28, 2021. The candidates are given an option to choose six test cities across India and the examination is being held in 159 cities from all over the country. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 registration deadline has been extended to September 22 till 5 pm. Candidates willing to apply for the CAT 2021 examinations can do so online at iimcat.ac.in. The examination will be held on November 28, 2021, in three sessions and it will be organized by IIM Ahmedabad. The three-session slots are - 8:30 to 10:30 am, 12:30 to 2:30 pm, and 4:30 to 6:30 pm. CAT entrance is for admissions in Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and other renowned MBA colleges in India.

CAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The CAT 2021 eligibility criteria have been revised by IIM Ahmedabad due to multiple requests received by candidates and keeping in mind the current scenario of the Covid outbreak. A minimum score of 50% for general and 45% for the reserved category in graduation or equivalent GPA is required to be eligible for the CAT entrance exam 2021. The Examination has no age limits and no mandatory requirement of work experience.

How To apply for CAT 2021?

To apply for the examination the candidates will require mark sheets, certificates, scanned photographs, and signatures with them. The candidates will be required to make an online payment for the application forms.

The registration fee for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates is Rs. 1,100 and for all the other category candidates it is Rs 2,200. The candidates are only required to pay this fee only once while applying for the CAT exam forms.

Step 1 - Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2 - On the homepage, click on “New Candidate Registration.”
Step 3 - Fill in the required details.
Step 4 - Once registered, log in to the portal.
Step 5 - Fill up the application form, pay the fee and submit the form.
