CLAT 2023: First seat allotment list released | Here’s how to check

The CLAT 2023 examination was conducted on 18th of December 2022 at 127 test centers in 23 States and 2 Union Territories across India while the final answer key was released on 22nd of December 2022. A total of 240 names have been listed for the bachelor's programme at National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, a top choice among the students and there are around 29 colleges offering a degree in the five- year integrated law programme.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (Consortium of NLUs) has declared the 1st provisional seat allotment list for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023. So, the applicants who have registered for the admission counselling process can check the seat allotment result on the official website of Consortium of NLUs – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2023: Steps to check the seat allotment result

Step 1: Visit the official website of Consortium of NLUs – consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2: After visiting the official website click on the Seat allotment Round 1 link available on the home page

Step 3:  Fill in your Details such as login id and Password

Step: 4 Results would be displayed on the screen

Step 5: Students who are allotted a seat at any NLU has to choose between three options: Freeze, Float, exit for completing the allotment process.

Freeze

Those Students who are fully satisfied and have accepted the seat allotted to them must click on the freeze option and pay the confirmation fees between 18th of January and 22nd of January. The students who have chosen the Freeze option and have paid the fees will not be considered in subsequent rounds of counselling.

Float

Those students who are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them and want to get high preference NLU Seat then they should choose the float option so, that the students can hold the seat allotted to them and if they are allotted higher preference NLU Seat in a subsequent counselling round they could move to the more preferred seat. Students after the selecting the float option could pay the confirmation fees between 18th of January and 22nd of January.

Exit

Those Students who doesn’t want to accept the seat allotted to them and also don’t want to participate in the further rounds of the counselling procedure can select the exit option. In this option the seat allotted to the student would be reallocted and the student wouldn’t be given a seat in any of the subsequent round.
