Apple's Upcoming Swift Student Challenge Set to Launch in February 2024

This challenge invites students to showcase their creativity by developing innovative coding projects using the Swift Playgrounds app.

Apple has revealed that the upcoming "Swift Student Challenge" will kick off in February 2024, introducing a new facet that acknowledges 50 distinguished winners for exceptional submissions.

During a designated three-week period in February 2024, students will have the opportunity to submit their app playgrounds for the Swift Student Challenge. To participate, they must register at developer.apple.com to receive notifications about the challenge's opening.

Among the 350 overall winners, 50 distinguished winners will receive invitations to Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, the following summer. This unique experience will allow them to forge connections with fellow winners and engage with the Apple team.

"App Development with Swift training equips faculty with the skills to guide students, fostering an environment where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and every idea is given the opportunity to flourish," said Roger Tadajewski, NC3’s executive director. 

Every winner, including the 50 distinguished recipients, will be granted a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program. This membership provides them with the ability to submit their apps to the App Store and access support from Apple, fostering their continued growth and development as app developers.
