Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Acquires Two New Delhi Plots Valued at Rs 79 Crore

In the first transaction, Goyal reportedly paid Rs 1.74 crore in stamp duty and Rs 29 crore for 2.5 acres of land. For the second transaction, he paid Rs 3.50 crore in stamp duty and acquired 2.53 acres of land for Rs 50 crore. Both land deals were finalized in the previous year.

Zomato co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has reportedly acquired two plots of land, each approximately 5 acres, in the Mehrauli area of New Delhi, totaling Rs 79 crore. According to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, Goyal paid stamp duty amounting to Rs 5.24 crore for these transactions.

In the first transaction, Goyal reportedly paid Rs 1.74 crore in stamp duty and Rs 29 crore for 2.5 acres of land. For the second transaction, he paid Rs 3.50 crore in stamp duty and acquired 2.53 acres of land for Rs 50 crore. Both land deals were finalized in the previous year.

The purchased plots are situated in the village of Dera Mandi in the Chhatarpur area, as per the available documents. Zomato and Goyal have not yet commented on these reports.

In a similar vein, Rikant Pitti, co-founder of EaseMyTrip, recently invested in a commercial property valued at approximately Rs 99.34 crore in Gurugram. This property, covering 4,050 sq meters near Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram's Sector 32, was subject to a stamp duty of Rs 6.95 crore, according to CRE Matrix.

These acquisitions reflect a trend among tech entrepreneurs in India investing in real estate, demonstrating their financial prowess and diversification strategies.
