Amazon India's Country Manager, Manish Tiwary, has resigned from his role, the company said on Tuesday. Tiwary would continue till October for a smooth transition. According to the statement, Amazon recognizes the huge contribution Manish Tiwary has made in the last eight years. With his leadership, Amazon.in has been able to scale up as one of the largest marketplaces in India.
It also reiterated that Amit Agarwal will continue to actively participate with the Amazon.in team in his capacity as senior vice president for India and emerging markets. Amazon said it has India as an important focus area, is very excited about what has been covered so far, and is optimistic for more opportunities to innovate and invent into the future for its customers.
Amit Agarwal's wealth of experience in further growth and success will be there to support the team.
