Kotak Mahindra Bank announced on Wednesday the RBI's approval of C.S. Rajan, an Independent Director of the bank, as the Part-time Chairman for a two-year term effective from January 1, 2024. Rajan joined the Bank's Board as an Independent Director on October 22, 2022.
Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Rajan shared his deep humility and honor in accepting the role as Chairman, acknowledging the Board's trust in him to elevate the Bank's performance and enhance stakeholder value. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with the board and the entire team.
Dipak Gupta, the Bank's Managing Director & CEO, extended congratulations to Mr. C.S. Rajan on assuming the role of Chairman. Gupta expressed confidence in Rajan's leadership, anticipating significant guidance that will propel the Bank into its next phase of growth.
