iPhone revenue grows 10% to reach $42.6 bn globally, India a sweet spot

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the customer demand was strong and better than we anticipated that it would be. "Customers are loving our iPhone 14 lineup. Loaded with camera upgrades for sharper photos, Action Mode for smoother videos and new safety features like Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via Satellite, iPhone is even more indispensable to our daily lives," Cook told analysts during the company's quarterly earnings call late on Thursday.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari on Friday said, "Today is a historic day and I feel very happy that we could finally give the Retail Investors (retired citizens, salaried individuals, small and medium business owners) an opportunity to participate in the Nation-Building activity. According to Insider, the former Indian-origin CEO is set to receive the largest payout of $38.7 million, largely due "to the entirety of his shares vesting upon his firing". Twitter's chief financial officer Ned Segal, is set to receive $25.4 million and Vijaya Gadde, the chief legal officer, will be richer by $12.5 million after firing. Sarah Personette, the chief customer officer, would get $11.2 million. Musk is expected to reorganise Twitter and cut the workforce by a massive margin.

According to a CNBC report citing sources on Friday, Agrawal and Segal have left the company's San Francisco headquarters and will not be returning. Gadde, the head of legal policy, trust, and safety was also fired, The Washington Post reported.

Lufthansa revenues almost doubles year-on-year

RBI's monetary policy committee to meet on Nov 3 over inflationary concerns

The MPC's off-cycle meeting has been convened as the central bank has failed to curb inflation, which has remained beyond its tolerance limit of 2 to 6 per cent for the past nine months. Consumer Price Index (CPI) based retail inflation rose to 7.41 percent in September. Retail inflation has remained beyond RBI's tolerance limit for the last three quarters.
