IBM stock down after weak Q4 growth in Cloud and AI revenue

The Q4 (December 2020 quarter) sales totalled $20.4 billion, down 6 per cent (on-year) and slightly below the $20.63 billion consensus. Cloud and Cognitive Software sales dropped 5 per cent to $6.8 billion, below the $7.18 billion estimates. Last quarter, this segment was up 7 per cent.
Equity indices fall, Sensex down 100 points

Selling pressure was witnessed in banking and finance stocks. Around 10.10 p.m., Sensex was trading at 49,518.63, lower by 106.13 points or 0.21 per cent from its previous close of 49,624.76. It opened at 49,594.95 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 49,663.74 and a low of 49,361.22 points.

Data released by Anarock Property Consultants shows that average apartment sizes in the top seven cities have risen by 10 per cent on a yearly basis, to 1,150 square feet in 2020 from 1,050 square feet in 2019. The trend in past four years trends indicate that average apartment sizes were reducing y-o-y since 2016.
National Stock Exchange named world's largest derivatives exchange for 2020

SEBI penalises HDFC Bank for wrongly invoking pledge of securities

A SEBI probe found that the lender had unilaterally invoked securities pledged by BRH to the extent of Rs 158.68 crore and the capital market regulator has thereby directed the bank to deposit an equivalent amount, along with interest from October 14, 2019 till date at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, in a separate interest bearing escrow account, till the issue of settlement of clients' securities is reconciled.

The Sensex closed at 49,624.76, lower by 167.36 points, or 0.34 per cent, from its previous close of 49,792.12 after opening at the historically high level. It had opened at 50,162.05 and touched a fresh all-time high of 50,184.01 points.

Oil marketing companies keep petrol, diesel price rise under check on Thursday

Accordingly, petrol continues to be sold at Rs 85.20 a litre in Delhi while diesel prices also remained same at Rs 75.38 a litre. Across the country as well the pump price of petrol and diesel remained unchanged on Thursday. Petrol and diesel prices had risen sharply by 25 paise per litre each on Monday and Tuesday before the OMCs decided to give relief to consumers from frequent price rise.
