“He (Jack Ma) is very likely in Hangzhou, where the headquarters of Alibaba is. We forget that he is no longer involved with the management of Alibaba. He is being less visible purposefully. And you can expect that that will continue to be the case for some time. He ran afoul of the government of the PRC (People’s Republic of China). He has pushed on that line a number of times in the past and been okay,” CNBC's David Faber reported quoting his sources

Faber's sources further added that the October 24 speech of Jack Ma went too far, adding Jack Ma, like many people, understands when he has to lay down and roll over. According to them, he is not going to put himself in any position where he will be speaking. Jack Ma is not going to speak and it could be for months and it does not mean that he is missing. Neither is he captured.
Jack Ma is a tech billionaire of China, had been an English teacher who founded Alibaba Group in 1999 when China had few internet users. The 56-year-old businessman stepped down from the Chairman's post of Alibaba in 2019.
