IndiGo Under Fire for Delays: Former Union Minister Joins the Criticism

In a social media post, Tewari mentioned, "This is the third IndiGo flight that I am taking this week that is delayed by over 90 minutes. This time it is 6E2159 from Chandigarh to Delhi. On an earlier occasion, the 1855 IndiGo 6E flight from Delhi to Chandigarh was delayed by over 2 and a half hours."

On Sunday, Congress MP and former Union Minister Manish Tewari expressed frustration over repeated delays in IndiGo flights. Tewari, who had taken three IndiGo flights in the past week, highlighted the most recent incident involving flight 6E2159 from Chandigarh to Delhi, which was delayed by over 90 minutes.

Tewari expressed his disappointment, noting that the main reason he chose IndiGo was its reputation for being punctual. He added, "The only reason I would take IndiGo was that it used to be on time. Otherwise, the service, etc., best left unsaid."

This frustration with IndiGo's delays is not isolated. On November 29, comedian Kapil Sharma also took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with the significant delay of his IndiGo flight 6E 5149. Sharma criticized the airline, stating, "Dear @IndiGo6E, first you made us wait in the bus for 50 min, and now your team is saying the pilot is stuck in traffic, what? Really?" He further emphasized that the flight was supposed to take off by 8 pm, and by 9:20 pm, there was still no pilot in the cockpit. Sharma concluded by stating that he doubted the 180 passengers would choose IndiGo again after such an experience.
