Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to travel to US for trade talks on September 22

The visit by the delegation will drive ongoing trade talks forward and work towards the early conclusion of a mutually fair trade agreement between the two countries. Officials said negotiations will focus on deepening bilateral trade, investment, and economic engagement in areas of major sectors. 

A high-level delegation headed by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the United States on September 22, 2025, to discuss the India-US trade agreement, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said in a statement issued on Saturday.

The visit by the delegation will drive ongoing trade talks forward and work towards the early conclusion of a mutually fair trade agreement between the two countries. Officials said negotiations will focus on deepening bilateral trade, investment, and economic engagement in areas of major sectors.

The ministry reiterated that the visit is in line with India's efforts to deepen economic engagement with the United States and promote cooperation under existing as well as upcoming trade regimes.
