Axis Securities Predicts Indian Equities Could Provide Double-Digit Returns in 2-3 Years

Even in the midst of global volatility, India stands out as a favorable ground for growth, acting as a significant driving force for the country's equities in the coming years.

Pranav Haridasan, the MD and CEO of Axis Securities, is optimistic about the performance of Indian equities, foreseeing the potential for double-digit returns over the next two to three years. He attributes this outlook to the support of robust double-digit earnings growth.

Even in the midst of global volatility, India stands out as a favorable ground for growth, acting as a significant driving force for the country's equities in the coming years. Haridasan highlights the enhanced balance sheet strength of corporate India and the notable improvement in the health of the Indian banking system as positive factors contributing to this positive outlook.

In the current scenario, the Indian economy is positioned favorably for growth, displaying resilience in the face of global challenges. Haridasan looks forward to Samvat 2080 as a captivating year for observing global economic dynamics.

“We embark on this new Samvat with a narrative marked by ‘Higher for Longer’ interest rates, volatile bond yields, geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East, and fluctuating oil prices. However, on the domestic front, the prospects for the Indian economy appear notably brighter and more promising”, he said.
