Airtel Records Impressive 54% Surge in Q3 Net Profit, Reaching Rs 2,442 Crore

Telecom giant Bharti Airtel Ltd reported a substantial 54% surge in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 2,442 crore for the October-December quarter of the current fiscal year. The company's consolidated revenue from operations also witnessed a 6% increase, reaching Rs 37,900 crore, compared to Rs 35,804 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The revenue growth was partially impacted by currency devaluation in Africa, as stated in an exchange filing.

Airtel's Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) experienced a marginal increase, reaching Rs 208 in Q3FY24, compared to Rs 203 in Q2FY24.

In terms of India revenue, Airtel recorded a notable 11.4% year-on-year growth, reaching Rs 27,811 crore during Q3FY24.

The company's subscriber base expanded to 34.56 crore customers as of December 31, 2023, up from 33.22 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, marking a 4% year-on-year increase.

Airtel reported a robust growth in data customers across both 4G and 5G segments, totaling 24.5 crore. This represents an increase of 74 lakh quarter-on-quarter and 2.82 crore year-on-year, according to information disclosed in an exchange filing.
