Adani Ports Shine in World Bank's Global Container Port Performance Index

The CPP Index is the index of repute which grades the port on parameters such as productivity, efficiency, and reliability; it makes for a very important source of reference for all stakeholders like governments, port authorities, development agencies, and private operators in trade, logistics, and supply chain services.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited on Wednesday said, "Four of its ports feature in the prestigious 'Container Port Performance Index 2023', jointly developed by the World Bank and &P Global Market Intelligence." At the 27th position stood Mundra port while Kattupalli ranked 57th, Hazira 68th, and Krishnapatnam at 71st in the top 100 list. It further consolidates the position of APSEZ as one of the key players among global container ports.

Nine Indian ports made it to the top-100 list, out of which four were from Adani portfolio; this indeed reflects APSEZ's focussed initiative in operational excellence and global service standards. Only recently, Adani Ports has been recognized by CDP for its excellent programs in fighting climate change and its ESG best practices all across the supply chain under a strong engagement program.

The global non-profit entity granted APSEZ an "A-" leadership band for climate change as well as supplier engagement. Adani Ports is the operator of strategically located ports and terminals on the western and eastern coasts of India, with a cumulative handled volume of 27% of the country's total port volumes.
