To ensure data protection, ChatGPT does not access any vehicle data, and questions and answers are promptly deleted. Volkswagen plans to be the first volume manufacturer to offer ChatGPT as a standard feature starting in the second quarter of 2024 in various production vehicles.

This new chatbot will be integrated with the latest generation of infotainment in models such as ID.7, ID.4, ID.5, ID.3, the all-new Tiguan, the all-new Passat, and the new Golf.

With ChatGPT, the IDA voice assistant can control various features like infotainment, navigation, air conditioning, and even answer general knowledge questions. The AI will continually expand its capabilities to provide additional information in response to various questions in the future.
