Hero MotoCorp, after releasing the Glamour X in India, has stealthily launched a new version of the Xtreme 125R. Though the Xtreme 125R had earlier been made available with a split-seat model, the new addition arrives with a single-seat version, which is tagged at Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom.
The single-seat Xtreme 125R comes in between the IBS variant and the split-seat ABS variant. This new entrant takes the Xtreme 125R lineup in India to three: the Xtreme 125R IBS priced at Rs 98,425 (ex-showroom), the Xtreme 125R ABS priced at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom), and the new Xtreme 125R ABS single-seat priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
Under the hood, the Xtreme 125R runs on a 124.7cc engine and a 5-speed gearbox that produces a top power of 11.5 hp and a top torque of 10.5 Nm. The same engine is used by the newly launched Glamour X.
The motorcycle is equipped with a number of features such as an all-LED lighting system that includes the headlamp, taillamp, and blinkers. It features a simple digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and comes with first-in-segment single-channel ABS for added safety. Suspension wise, the bike comes with 37 mm front forks and rear hydraulic monoshock. Braking is taken care of by a 240 mm front drum and 130 mm rear drum, with stable stopping power. The Xtreme 125R is equipped with 90/90-17 front and 120/80-17 rear tyres.
