Audi, the German luxury carmaker, has posted total sales of 2,128 automobiles in India in the first half of 2025, between the January and June months, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Despite ongoing market headwinds, Audi’s certified pre-owned car business, Audi Approved: plus, remained strong, posting a 10% growth year-on-year in H1 2025.
The brand currently operates 26 pre-owned car outlets across the country and plans to expand further in the coming months.
Looking back at the performance of the company, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, stated, "Although H1 2025 saw special market challenges, we have utilized this time to enhance our basis for sustainable growth. By focusing on a luxury-first strategy and providing stellar customer experiences, we continue to cement brand loyalty."
He also noted that the brand expects to see renewed traction in the second half of the year. "We believe there are growth opportunities in the luxury segment in the second half of the year driven by new product launches, our digital-first strategy and relentless customer satisfaction focus."
Audi, nevertheless, still grapples with pressures from tepid demand, which has been smothered by currency-induced price increases and overall market volatility driven by evolving global geopolitical forces.
Audi India, nonetheless, is hopeful, particularly ahead of the upcoming festive season. The firm anticipates growing aspirations among Indians to spur demand in the premium automobile segment.
On the sustainability side, the company is going full steam ahead with its Charge My Audi initiative — a countrywide EV infrastructure initiative. Audi has now reached a milestone of more than 6,500 charging stations throughout India, instilling confidence and convenience for electric car owners.
Audi India's current model lineup consists of a combination of sedans, SUVs, and electric cars: Audi A4, A6, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, RS Q8, Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
