Tata Motors has launched the all-electric Harrier EV AWD at a launch price of Rs. 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The newest entrant to the family comes equipped with a five-star safety rating according to BNCAP crash test scores and introduces the company's Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) technology in this model.
Under the bonnet, the Harrier EV AWD is driven by a meaty 75kWh battery pack for dual electric motors—mounted one on either axle. The motors churn out 156bhp at the front and 235bhp at the rear, for combined torque of 504Nm. Tata reports that the QWD version has a driving range of up to 622km on a single charge, while C75 models deliver a range of 460km to 490km.
This high-end AWD model comes loaded with unique features like a dedicated boost mode, off-road assist functionality, and six different terrain modes—Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom. Other notable features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, HD internal rearview mirror (IRVM), transparent bonnet view, 360-degree surround camera, rear-seat comfort headrests with sunshade curtains, seven airbags, an AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System), the facility for over-the-air (OTA) software updates, TPMS, 65W USB Type-C charging ports, and electrically adjustable front seats.
Scheduled to be released in four colors, the 2025 Harrier EV series features four variants and has two battery pack options to choose from. A complete variant-wise feature list is present on our website. Tata Motors will begin bookings for the Harrier EV from 2 July, and customer deliveries will commence shortly after.
We will also be pitting it against its market competitors—the Hyundai Creta Electric and Mahindra XEV 9e—next month, so watch out for our extensive first drive reviews. Also coming up is a Dark Edition of the Harrier EV from Tata, and all the details are already available on our website.
