It appears that Ansarey deliberately sought to provoke negative statements towards India by raising questions about Kejriwal's arrest and the freezing of Congress' bank accounts.

Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding foreign entities commenting on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case, recent revelations have shed light on the involvement of Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, a journalist based in Bangladesh. Ansarey's inquiries directed towards spokespersons of the US and the UN have sparked discussions on the matter.

Reports indicate that Ansarey questioned the US State Department’s spokesperson Mathew Millar on March 27 and posed similar inquiries to the United Nations spokesperson on March 28.

The arrest of Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on alleged money laundering charges in the excise policy case has ignited a political debate within the country and has garnered international attention. Notably, a German diplomat as well as spokespersons from the US and the UN referenced the case in their speeches, expressing hopes for a 'fair trial'.

Further investigations reveal that Ansarey has a history of propagating anti-India narratives and is currently a fugitive in his own country. His writings often attribute political developments in Bangladesh to India.

On his Facebook profile, Ansarey identifies himself as a journalist from Bangladesh and claims to hold the position of Executive Editor at South Asia Perspectives, a monthly opinion-based magazine headquartered in Washington. Additionally, he describes himself as a White House correspondent for the Bangladeshi portal Just News BD and is a regular columnist for the Indian platform ‘The Wire’.
