Ukrainian Ground Forces Commander Warns of Imminent 'Critical Phase' in War

According to the media, the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oleksandr Pavliuk, has pointed out that within the next two months, Ukraine will enter a crucial period in its conflict.

According to Pavliuk, offensives will continue to remain focused on Luhansk and Donetsk. At the same time, though, he warned of probable Russian strikes in the northeastern districts of Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

Underlining the importance of reinforcement on time, Pavliuk pointed out that if Ukraine receives adequate weaponry within the next one to two months, then the situation could be in favor of Russia.

Touching on defense tactics, Pavliuk said that it is imperative that Ukraine strengthens its air defense. Pavliuk expressed optimism regarding the promised delivery of F-16 fighters by early June, which he said would bolster their military and would also provide a huge psychological boost to the nation.
