The Swami Satyananda Saraswati Foundation in Pearland, Houston, is planning to construct a temple modeled after Ayodhya's Ram Mandir for the global Hindu community.
To mark the Kerala Hindus of North America conference, the foundation plans to perform a Balalaya Pratishta ceremony on November 23, 2025, at a powerful, divine location.
The process of submitting the essential parts of the temple to the concerned local authorities has already commenced. The first phase is expected to be completed before November 24, 2026.
The entire first phase will consist of one large ashram, an Ashram Hanuman Pratishta modelled after the Ayodhya Temple, as well as other deity installations alongside family temple concepts.
By November 24, 2027, an international finance institution will be formed with the intent of promoting Sanatan Dharma and boosting Hindus throughout the world.
The creation of the Sanatan Hindu University will be completed also, which will intend to synthesize Vedic knowledge into modern sciences.
Co-ordinator of the project, Ranjith Pillai said, "This is aimed at providing an official link between this new temple and their family temples.
The new temple will be placed in front of the world-famous Sri Meenakshi Temple.
The temple will stretch over five acres and be a symbol of world peace.
A unique opportunity has been created to bring a handful of soil from family temples or other local deities' temples in Kerala and integrate it into the new temple land.
The official announcement of the temple construction was made during a ceremony with prayers led by the Atukal Thantri Vasudev Bhattathiri.
Prominent figures such as former Union Ministers Rajeev Chandrasekhar and V. Muraleedharan, former Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan, SNDP Yogam Vice President Tushar Vellapally, Ayyappa Sevasangham President M. Sangeeth Kumar, Swami Krishnanandagiri from Mumbai’s Ramagiri Ashram, and Kerala Hindus of North America President Nisha Pillai attended the event.
The organisers in a statement said that devotees from Kerala's family temples and local deity temples have a rare opportunity to bring a handful of soil and integrate it with the new temple land.
The coordinator of the project Ranjith Pillai said that this initiative aims to officially link the new temple with their family temples.
The project recognizes the deep spiritual bond between the families and the deities which have been traditionally served.
"This connects the family deities adhered to by following such traditions of ceremonies," organiser said, adding: "Spiritual protection by observing the ceremonial traditions of one's family deities"
Said Ranjith Pillai, "collective divine soil from temple from all over the globe that will manifest the eternal bonding of tradition."
This temple has come up as a massive scheme that will connect Hindu homes to Ayodhya spiritually.
The new Temple, which will be a symbol of world peace, will cater to the spiritual needs of the American Hindu community while being an example of cultural unity and involvement.
The foundation aims to create a prosperous and peaceful world by combining spiritual strength, financial stability, and Vedic wisdom.
The project aims to promote spiritual unity, protect cultural heritage, and empower the global Hindu community.
The officials of the foundation also claimed that many people have voiced their support for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
