Bezos appeared every inch the traditional groom in a streamlined black tuxedo by the same designer, while Sanchez's dress was the belle of the ball. The long-sleeved gown, featuring a corseted bodice and high neckline, exuded timelessness. A beautifully sculpted mermaid form gave way to a show-stopping train, which was covered in 180 hand-finished silk chiffon buttons — a flourish that added an extra dimension to the artistry of the gown.

A peek behind the scenes prior to the ceremony, Sanchez shared on social media, "Not just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you Dolce and Gabbana for the magic you made." Her attire reflected the beauty of the opulent ceremony — a celebration of refinement and majesty.

The three-day celebration was said to have overrun the whole island of San Giorgio Maggiore, which lies directly across from Venice's famous St. Mark's Square. The VIP list of guests comprised world celebrities and big shots like Bill Gates, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Ivanka Trump, and Orlando Bloom.

As per People magazine, Matteo Bocelli started the wedding with an emotional cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love," and the moment resulted in applause and cheers among onlookers.

Prior to the ceremony, Sanchez and Bezos were spotted exiting the opulent Aman Hotel separately. Lauren sported a stylish yet retro-fashioned white suit and silk headscarf, and Jeff sported a sleek black tuxedo with aviator shades — both of them looking every inch the glamorous couple.

Planned to be hosted on June 28 at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, the location was switched at the eleventh hour following security fears. Demonstrations had erupted across Venice as protesters decried the ceremony as evidence of rising inequality. In spite of the change in venue, the wedding went forward with pomp and seclusion.

A June 28 Reuters report estimated the overall wedding cost at about $55 million, making it one of the year's most costly weddings.
